There is a desire in each of us for a world that works. There is a longing for the recurring problems of the planet like: war, hunger, disease, hatred, senseless suffering, poverty, and environmental degradation, not simply to get better but to once and for all end.
We feel we want to do something, deep in our hearts, deep in our souls, which will actually take our planet to its next evolutionary level.
When you look at the world’s problems it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, to feel “I can’t make a difference.” You can be stopped by hopelessness, powerlessness, and resignation. What can one person do with a global story that says these problems are the way life is and always will be?
At the core of this is a story we tell ourselves that we are not effective in making the world work. But this story is tired. It’s clearly run its course. It doesn’t empower us with hope. It doesn’t cause us to collectively engage the world’s major sufferings and actually solve them. In spite of some small victories, there’s a persistent, fundamental collective dis-engagement. Meanwhile…the problems, the sufferings continue.
What we hunger for is a new global story that inspires and enlivens each of us and all of us.
I’m proposing such a story — a new global story of what it means to be a human and what it means to be humanity, a new narrative that touches our very souls and engages us in participating in creating the kind of world we deeply long for.
At first, this may seem impossible, unrealistic. We’ve never had it before so how could we have it now? But didn’t we say the same things about the impossibility of flight, about eradicating polio, about getting to the moon? Something is impossible until it’s not.
Project Heaven on Earth gets you in touch with your deep knowing about the kind of world you long for. It helps unleash your optimism and energy, and it supports you in taking the simple, easy, concrete steps to make your vision real. The Project provides the story – Creating Heaven on Earth – and you create the content – what you will do to contribute in your own unique, creative way to make Heaven on Earth real?
